Radar Course and GPS Operator

The radar course is comprehensive to help you understand and safely operate the radar set on your vessel. The GPS Operator course is an advanced course to enable safe navigation and use of GPS.
 

Radar Course (6 hours)

Aim: To outline the use of radar to aid navigation and avoid collision.

Prerequisites: Boatmaster.

Course Content: Principles of a radar, controls, displays and targets, discrimination, navigation.

 

 

GPS Operator (8 hours)

Aim: To provide a comprehensive understanding of the GPS.

Course Content: Principles, preparation and installation, controls, screens and outputs, passage making, waypoint navigation, accuracies and errors, chart plotters, selection.

      Course Fee: $140.00 per person.
