On-Water Evenings  (2 - 3 hours)

Aim: To provide the opportunity to apply new knowledge gained during a Day Skipper or Boatmaster course.

PrerequisitesMust be a current or previous Coastguard Northern Region Maritime School Day Skipper or Boatmaster student. Partners also welcome.

Course Content: Navigation marks, lights, useful hints and tips as well as local knowledge.

During the evening we will apply some of the material covered in your course in the most practical environment possible.

Bring along your course manual and a pen to take notes, suitable clothing (enclosed feet) and any food or refreshments you desire. (No alcohol please)

A Coastguard tutor will be pointing out various points of interest such as marks, lights, useful hints and tips as well as local area knowledge. This informative and interactive evening will help cement the material covered in your course and improve confidence levels making your own boating safer and more enjoyable.

If most of your boating has been done during the day and you’re thinking about operating at night - perhaps after an evening fish or BBQ, this trip is a must.

Spaces are limited so book yours now!.
