The 'Online Treasure Hunt' is to the best of our knowledge, unique in it's format and never before run in
New Zealand . It is a fundraising event for Coastguard Northern Region. We are asking each participant to donate $10 directly to the Coastguard.
How It Works:
There are 10 websites participating in the 'Treasure Hunt' most of which are high profile sites. Each site has two clues hidden somewhere within it's pages. The first of these clues is a picture puzzle, which, once solved will reveal the location of the next website. The second clue is a cryptic text sentence, which, once solved will reveal exactly where on the site the next clue is. Upon reaching the end, the hunter is asked to solve one last puzzle and email the answer. There are some prizes for the first few hunters to get to the end such as an Apple i-touch.
