Changes to CPR

In our 2008 Members Handbook we inadvertently left in some old information regarding the correct way to administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

We had said the for adults and children up to 8years of age you should do 2 breaths to 15 compressions and for children under one year of age you should do 1 breath to 5 compressions.

The correct way to do CPR for all people including adults and children, including children under 1 year of age is

2 breaths to 30 Compressions
